Loopy Wool is seeking a process-driven, results oriented, and people focused Retail Manager to oversee our studio and growing online operations. This is a permanent full-time position.

In this role, you will balance operational excellence with exceptional customer service, ensuring high standards for quality are maintained for our online and in-studio channels. Your drive to improve daily operations ensures projects are completed accurately and deadlines are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Logistics

- Manage inventory workflows for both in-store and online sales channels.
- Coordinate logistics for incoming supply shipments, production, and outgoing e-commerce orders.
- Optimize retail processes to improve daily efficiency and maintain a high level of customer service.
- Maintain quality control standards for all products and visual merchandising.

Technology & Administration

- Analyze retail data and inventory metrics using spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Oversee Point of Sale systems and digital e-commerce platforms.
- Generate regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and operational costs.

HR & Team Leadership

- Recruit, train, and schedule a small team of retail and production associates.
- Foster a positive work culture rooted in clear communication and accountability.




- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching to staff.

Customer Service

- Build relationships with customers, local makers, and suppliers.
- Resolve customer inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally across multiple channels including in-person, phone, email, and social media.

Qualifications
- Experience: 2 years in retail management, supervisor, or operations roles. Experience in fibre arts is considered an asset.
- Tech Skills: Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets. Understanding of POS systems, Quickbooks, and experience with Shopify is required. Proficiency with social media, website development, graphic design, and online sales channels is also an asset.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, problem solving, the ability to work independently, and solid organizational skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
