Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Retail Operations Inventory Manager to lead our inventory management and supply chain processes across multiple retail locations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire inventory lifecycle, from procurement and demand planning to warehouse distribution and order fulfillment. Your expertise will drive process improvements, optimize stock levels, and ensure seamless integration between e-commerce platforms, warehouse management systems, and procurement activities.

Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive demand planning strategies using advanced analytics tools to forecast sales trends accurately.
- Manage inventory levels across all retail outlets, warehouses, and distribution centers by leveraging ERP systems, AS400, and warehouse management systems.
- Utilize data mining, SQL queries, and data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI to analyze stock performance, identify discrepancies, and recommend actionable improvements.
- Coordinate procurement activities by sourcing products through negotiations with suppliers, managing 3PL providers, and optimizing sourcing channels for cost efficiency.
- Oversee warehouse distribution operations, ensuring proper materials management, order fulfillment accuracy, and adherence to safety standards such as forklift certifications.
- Implement process improvements in inventory workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline supply chain operations across multiple channels including e-commerce.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory turnover, order accuracy, and supply chain responsiveness; report findings regularly to leadership for strategic decision-making.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis techniques using SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and other visualization tools.
- Extensive experience in demand planning, forecasting models, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
- Deep understanding of supply chain management principles including procurement, sourcing, warehouse management systems (WMS), and third-party logistics (3PL).
- Proven ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent data collection skills combined with a keen eye for analysis to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
- Familiarity with retail management practices including merchandising strategies and order fulfillment processes.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms used for materials management and procurement tracking.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments including e-commerce teams, warehouse staff, purchasing agents, and senior leadership.
