Role Description The Retail Store Supervisor oversees daily operations of the store, ensuring a welcoming, safe, and efficient environment for customers, staff, and volunteers. This on-site role is located in Sarnia, ON and includes supervising team members, organizing work schedules, and supporting training and coaching for consistent customer service standards. The supervisor helps manage merchandising, pricing, and presentation of donated goods, and assists with inventory flow from donation intake to sales floor.

Key responsibilities also include handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, maintaining store cleanliness,



and supporting cash handling and opening/closing procedures. The role collaborates with leadership to meet sales goals, uphold organizational values, and promote community engagement.

Qualifications

- Experience in retail or customer-facing environments, with strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience, including scheduling, delegation, and coaching staff or volunteers.
- Basic cash-handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience, with attention to accuracy and store procedures.
- Strong organizational skills for managing inventory, merchandising, and maintaining a clean, safe sales floor.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members and customers.
- Ability to work on-site, stand for extended periods, lift and move boxes or furniture as needed.
- Commitment to the organization’s mission and interest in community-focused, purpose-driven work.
- Previous thrift, non-profit, or community retail experience is an asset; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
