Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Shingler to join our residential roofing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential buildings. Your expertise will ensure roofs are durable, weather-resistant, and built to the highest standards of safety and quality. Duties

- Measure and cut roofing materials using hand tools and power tools to ensure precise fitting.
- Install shingles, tiles, metal panels, or other roofing materials according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Inspect existing roofs for damage or wear and perform repairs as needed to extend their lifespan.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to execute roofing projects accurately.
- Use caulking and sealing techniques to ensure waterproofing around vents, chimneys, and other roof penetrations.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood sheets, or metal panels safely and efficiently.




- Maintain a clean work setting by organizing tools and debris removal after each project phase.

Experience

- Proven experience in roofing or shingling with a strong understanding of various roofing materials and installation techniques.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, pry bars, utility knives, and measuring tapes.
- Construction experience with a focus on carpentry or handyman work is highly desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and follow detailed instructions for complex roofing projects.
- Knowledge of caulking methods for weatherproofing applications on roofs.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights, and outdoor conditions.
- Prior experience in construction or related trades will be considered an asset.
