Duties

- Assist with the installation and repair of roofing materials using hand tools and power tools
- Carry and position roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, and underlayment
- Prepare work sites by cleaning surfaces and setting up safety barriers and equipment
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure smooth workflow on-site
- Read and interpret basic blueprints or project plans to support accurate installation
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing standards are met




- Support carpentry tasks related to roof framing or structural components as needed

Skills

- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and utility knives
- Construction experience, preferably in roofing or related trades
- Basic carpentry skills for framing and structural support work
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings for project guidance
- Experience with caulking techniques for sealing joints and seams
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or climbing on roofs
- Handyman experience is a plus for troubleshooting and minor repairs
