About the Role The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms to motel standards. This role plays an important part in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for every guest. The Room Attendant works efficiently, follows established cleaning and safety procedures, and demonstrates strong attention to detail and teamwork.

What You’ll Do

- Clean and prepare guest rooms to motel standards, including making beds, changing linens, replenishing towels and amenities, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Ensure guest rooms meet established cleanliness, presentation, quality, and safety standards.
- Stock and organize housekeeping carts with the supplies and equipment required for each shift.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests while respecting guest privacy and confidentiality.
- Report lost and found items, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, property damage, and equipment issues in accordance with motel procedures.
- Clean, disinfect, and properly store housekeeping tools and equipment at the end of each shift.
- Monitor housekeeping inventory and communicate supply needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Complete assigned deep-cleaning tasks and assist with special housekeeping projects as required.
- Assist with laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens when required.
- Respond to housekeeping concerns, including spills, broken glass, and other cleaning requests.
- Follow motel policies,



safe work practices, chemical-handling procedures, and sanitation standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience is preferred; motel experience is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Able to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to contribute to a collaborative and respectful team environment.
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to communicate effectively and understand workplace instructions in English.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to work in Kamloops, BC.

Working Conditions

- Fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Flexible schedule required, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive movement throughout the shift.
- Regular use of cleaning products, equipment, and commercial laundry facilities.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.




- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding housekeeping tasks throughout the shift.
