City Clean is seeking a full-time Route Service Representative (RSR) - Driver to safely and effectively service our customers while building strong customer relationships and driving revenue growth across their assigned route.

Founded in 1972, City Clean provides mat and facility rental services to customers throughout Southern Ontario. We provide safe and environmentally conscious products and facility services across a variety of industries, including healthcare, warehousing, property management, commercial and retail spaces.

As a frontline employee, the RSR interacts daily with our customers to deliver a variety of products and services, including, but not limited to, mats, mops, paper products and restroom supplies. As a brand ambassador for City Clean, the RSR is responsible for providing high-quality customer service, ensuring customers receive the right products and services, and proactively identifying opportunities to better serve our customers and grow the business.

As the main point of contact with customers, the RSR takes ownership of the customer relationship and the growth and retention of their assigned route. This includes understanding customer needs, identifying opportunities for additional products and services, helping retain and grow existing accounts, and ensuring customer requests and concerns are actioned and communicated back to the office to provide a seamless City Clean customer experience.

Responsibilities

- Own and grow revenue across the assigned route by identifying opportunities to increase products and services with existing customers, generating new customer leads, supporting customer retention and contributing to established route growth targets.
- Build an understanding of each customer's business and facility needs to proactively recommend City Clean products and services that provide additional value.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with a focus on customer satisfaction, retention and long-term account growth.
- Identify and initiate potential recent customer leads within the assigned route and surrounding territory.
- Proactively identify customer issues and find prompt solutions or provide detailed communication for the office to action in a timely manner.




- Ensure the scheduled pick-up and delivery of products to effectively service customers daily, which requires repeatedly lifting between 10 and 80 pounds.
- Drive a company-owned truck to and from customer locations.
- Responsible for collecting cash on delivery for COD customers.
- Complete daily truck maintenance, including circle checks, fueling, general tidiness and reporting any issues or defects to Management.
- Practice safe and responsible driving and work practices.
- Follow all procedures when performing job duties.
- Act as a brand ambassador for City Clean by professionally representing the company and demonstrating positive and enthusiastic support for our products and services.
- Attend paid monthly service meetings (approximately 1-2 hours) and any other meetings as required.
- Responsible for daily checkout at the end of the day.
- Adhere to and promote all City Clean values, policies, procedures and protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.

Schedule Four-day work week, Monday to Thursday, with a start time between 6:00-6:30 a.m. Fridays as required for meetings, holiday delivery adjustments, etc.

Skills

- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to identify sales and account growth opportunities.
- Comfortable recommending additional products and services based on customer needs.
- Ability to build trusted, long-term customer relationships while balancing service, retention and revenue growth.
- Excellent driving skills and comfort driving a 20 ft. commercial truck.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good navigation skills.
- Ability to retain product knowledge and route details.
- Good time management skills.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Sense of urgency when dealing with customer requests.

Work Environment and Physical Effort
- Ability to work in all weather conditions: hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.




- Ability to retrieve products from the truck safely, including bending, pulling and reaching.
- Physically capable of repeatedly lifting between 10 and 80 pounds.
- Ability to walk various distances as required for delivery.
- Ability to sit for various periods of time while driving.
- Physically capable of climbing in and out of the delivery truck.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience driving larger vehicles or trucks (2-3 years of experience preferred).
- Valid G licence in good standing with a current and clean driver's abstract.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be insurable under City Clean's auto insurance policy.
- Previous customer service, route sales or account management experience is considered an asset.
