Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and provide expert guidance on pet products, supplies, and accessories
- Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about pet care, nutrition, and grooming needs
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to highlight recent products and promotions effectively
- Upsell complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage phone inquiries professionally, providing information about store services or product availability
- Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked to ensure an inviting shopping environment




- Handle basic math calculations quickly and accurately during transactions and inventory checks

Qualifications

- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; technical sales experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customers
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic math accurately and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and stock management
- Proven time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service with friendly phone etiquette and positive attitude
- Knowledge of pet products or enthusiasm for animals is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
- should be able to lift 40lbs +
