Cleaning Sales Associate –

Position Summary The Cleaning Sales Associate is responsible for generating new business opportunities and supporting the growth of the company’s commercial cleaning and janitorial services. The position focuses on prospecting, building client relationships, conducting site visits, preparing proposals and quotes, following up with potential customers, and converting opportunities into new service contracts.

The Sales Associate works closely with the Operations team to ensure proposed services, staffing, pricing, and scopes of work meet client requirements and can be successfully delivered.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

- Identify and develop new commercial cleaning opportunities.
- Prospect potential clients through phone calls, emails, networking, referrals, and in-person visits.
- Generate and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.
- Schedule meetings and site walkthroughs with prospective clients.
- Promote commercial cleaning, janitorial, floor care, carpet cleaning, window cleaning, event cleaning, and specialty services.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.

Site Visits & Needs Assessments
- Conduct walkthroughs of prospective client facilities.
- Evaluate building size, cleaning requirements, service frequency, staffing needs, supplies, equipment, and special requirements.
- Gather accurate information required to develop a cleaning scope of work.
- Identify additional services that may benefit the client.
- Coordinate with Operations when specialized assessments are required.

Quotes, Proposals & Contracts
- Prepare professional cleaning proposals, quotations, and scopes of work.




- Assist with determining appropriate labour hours, service frequencies, equipment, and supply requirements.
- Ensure pricing information is accurate and competitive.
- Present proposals and clearly explain recommended services to prospective clients.
- Negotiate pricing and service requirements within company guidelines.
- Follow up consistently on outstanding quotations and proposals.

Client Relationship Management
- Develop qualified, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Maintain regular communication throughout the sales process.
- Respond promptly to client questions and requests.
- Understand client expectations, budgets, and operational requirements.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and account growth.
- Maintain professional communication and represent the company positively at all times.

Sales Follow-Up & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, meetings, site visits, quotations, and follow-ups.
- Update the company’s CRM or sales tracking system.
- Track sales activity, conversion rates, outstanding proposals, and new contracts.
- Provide regular sales reports and pipeline updates to management.
- Follow up on leads according to established timelines.

New Account Transition




- Communicate all agreed service requirements to the Operations team.
- Participate in new-client handover and start-up meetings when required.
- Ensure the approved scope, schedule, pricing, supplies, equipment, and special client requirements are properly documented.
- Support Operations during account start-up to ensure client expectations are clearly understood.
- Follow up with new clients after service begins to confirm satisfaction.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales, business development, commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or facility services is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer-service and relationship-building abilities.
- Comfortable making outbound sales calls and approaching prospective clients.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to prepare professional quotations and proposals.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sales opportunities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and CRM systems is an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to transportation may be required for client site visits.

Working Conditions This position may require regular travel to prospective and existing client locations. The Cleaning Sales Associate may occasionally need to attend meetings or site walkthroughs outside standard business hours based on client availability.

The position requires a combination of office work, telephone and email prospecting, networking, client meetings, and onsite facility walkthroughs.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
