Sales Associate / Graphic Designer

T Shirt Time is hiring a skilled Sales Associate / Graphic Designer to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with customers while also using their creativity to turn ideas into high-quality custom apparel designs. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing design and production position. We specialize in on-the-spot custom apparel, which means our designers must be able to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy, quality, or attention to detail.

We are looking for someone who is proficient and confident with computers (experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Roland GX, and CorelDRAW is a big plus) and can take a customer's idea, prepare the artwork, and produce the order within a 5-20 minute window depending on the design. Customer engagement and sales are also a core responsibility of this position, not only processing orders for customers who already know what they want.

What We Require:

Sales:

- Confidently greet and engage customers, explain our custom on-the-spot printing concept, and help them understand what we offer.
- Actively sell and upsell by recommending products, additional prints, customization options, and larger quantities based on the customer’s needs.
- Be outgoing and sales-driven, comfortable starting conversations, offering creative ideas, and turning customers who are “just looking” into potential sales.

Design/Production:

- Work quickly and confidently in graphic design software
- Maintain an exceptionally high level of accuracy while working at speed
- Work under time pressure with the ability to switch between multiple customers and projects efficiently
- Operate design and printing equipment as required (Heat press, vinyl cutter, DTF printer)
- Review artwork for sizing,

placement, spelling, colours, and overall print quality before production
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently

Other Responsibilities:

- Help customers choose apparel, products, colours, sizes, and customization options
- Provide fast, friendly, and professional customer service
- Identify potential artwork or printing issues before an order is produced
- Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming workspace
- Assist with general store operations such as stocking inventory, store upkeep, and other duties as required

Qualifications & Skills:

- Previous experience with Sales, Graphic Design or custom apparel production is a strong asset
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new software and equipment quickly
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Previous sales experience is an asset
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to understand customer requests quickly and translate them into a finished design
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and productive during busy periods
- Strong organization and multitasking abilities
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and/or Roland GX, Corel Draw
- Understanding of typography, layout, colour, resolution, image quality, and print preparation is an asset

- Ability to identify low-resolution or unsuitable customer artwork and determine how to correct it

The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable behind a computer and genuinely rapid with hands-on print production. We're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable with sales and working with people.

Note that this is not a traditional graphic design position where every project can take several hours or days.

Our customers are often standing in front of you waiting for their design.

You must be able to listen to what they want, understand their vision, make good design decisions, prepare their artwork, and produce the order quickly, confidently, and correctly the first time!

Why Join T Shirt Time?

At T Shirt Time, you'll work in a creative, hands-on environment where you'll see your designs go from an idea on a computer screen to a finished product.

You'll work on a wide variety of customer projects and develop hands-on experience with custom apparel, printing, artwork preparation, and production.

If you are outgoing, friendly, highly skilled, proficient, detail-oriented, and comfortable working under pressure, we'd love to hear from you.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
