Burton is looking for a Seasonal Area Manager to represent Burton and Anon across Alberta for the 2026/27 winter season.
Reporting to the Area Manager for Alberta & BC, this is a highly autonomous, field-based role focused on events, brand activations, retailer engagement, and building excitement around Burton and Anon throughout the Alberta snowboard community.
The ideal candidate is deeply connected to snowboarding, comfortable on the road, highly organized, and energized by bringing people together. You’ll work closely with retailers, resorts, consumers, and industry partners to deliver memorable experiences and ensure Burton and Anon are visible and relevant throughout the season.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
EVENTS & ACTIVATIONS
- Plan, coordinate, and execute consumer and retailer events, demos, activations, and community initiatives across Alberta.
- Support Burton-owned events and key wholesale events throughout the season.
- Manage event logistics including planning, scheduling, transportation, setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Coordinate product, displays, infrastructure, equipment, and staffing requirements.
- Create engaging experiences that connect riders, retailers, resorts, and the Burton & Anon brands.
- Identify new opportunities to activate the brands within Alberta’s snowboard community.
RETAILER & RESORT ENGAGEMENT
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key Alberta retailers and resorts.
- Deliver engaging Burton and Anon product knowledge sessions during the October–December selling period.
- Support retailer demos, product launches, staff events, and in-store activations.
- Ensure Burton and Anon are presented in a premium and brand-approved way at retail and events.
- Develop relationships with key resort partners, with a particular focus on Anon business development.
- Provide regular updates on events, accounts, market activity, and opportunities.
LOGISTICS & BUDGET
- Manage transportation and logistics for events, tradeshows, product, and field equipment.
- Track event and territory spending, ensuring resources are used effectively and deliver strong ROI.
- Be comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including driving, lifting, loading, unloading, and setup.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong knowledge of the Alberta snowboard industry, culture, retailers, and resorts.
- Genuine passion for snowboarding and the Burton & Anon brands.
- Intermediate to expert snowboard ability.
- Experience in events, retail, sales, marketing, brand activations, or the outdoor industry.
- Strong communication and public-speaking skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a natural ability to connect with people.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout Alberta.
- Comfortable with hands-on event work and physical setup.
