Burton is looking for a Seasonal Area Manager to help drive the Burton and Anon business across British Columbia during the 2026/27 winter season.
Reporting to the Area Manager for Alberta & BC, this field-focused role will support wholesale sales, marketing, dealer relationships, events, and brand activations throughout the territory.
The Seasonal Area Manager will be an important boots-on-the-ground representative of Burton and Anon, ensuring our brands are visible, compelling, and well supported wherever our customers and riders are.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about snowboarding, connected to the industry, highly self-motivated, and excited to spend the season on the road and in the mountains.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Dealer Support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale accounts across Alberta and BC.
- Provide dealer support including order tracking, warranties, returns, spare parts, promo, and general account service.
- Activate retailer sell-through and sales incentive programs, tracking results and reporting to the Area Manager.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and grow Burton and Anon business.
- Prioritize business development with key resorts and Anon accounts.
Product & Brand
- Deliver engaging product knowledge sessions to key retail partners, particularly from October–December.
- Ensure Burton and Anon products are presented and merchandised in a premium, compelling,
and brand-approved manner.
- Maintain solid knowledge of Burton and Anon products and confidently communicate product benefits to retail teams, consumers & ambassadors.
Events & Activations
- Organize and execute consumer and retailer demos, community activations, and events throughout the season.
- Support Burton-owned events and key wholesale initiatives.
Field Operations & Tradeshows
- Manage the logistics, transportation, setup, and breakdown of tradeshow infrastructure and materials.
- Coordinate field assets, product, displays, and event equipment.
- Be comfortable with a hands-on role involving lifting, loading, transporting, and setting up equipment.
Budget & Planning
- Manage territory activities with a strong focus on efficiency, execution, and ROI.
- Track spending and work with the Area Manager to prioritize resources strategically.
- Provide weekly reporting on account activity, events, sell-through, and market opportunities.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We’re looking for someone who combines industry knowledge, commercial instinct, organization, and a genuine passion for snowboarding.
Experience & Skills
- Strong knowledge of the snowboard industry, competitor products, and culture.
- Existing relationships and connections within the snowboard, retail, resort, or outdoor industry.
- Previous sales or major retail experience is preferred, but not required.
- Confident public speaker with the ability to deliver engaging product presentations.
- Highly organized with strong time-management and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and solution-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout Alberta and BC.
