Bombay Banquet Hall in Surrey, BC is currently looking for two reliable and professional Part-Time Security Guards to join our team for evening events.

The Security Guards will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our guests, staff, and property during weddings, parties, receptions, and other events.

Responsibilities

- Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and event spaces during scheduled events.
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment for guests and staff.
- Monitor guest activity and identify potential safety or security concerns.
- Assist with crowd control when required.
- Respond professionally and calmly to disturbances, conflicts, or inappropriate behaviour.
- Help prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of the banquet hall and surrounding property.
- Communicate security concerns promptly to banquet hall management.
- Assist management and event staff in enforcing venue policies.
- Contact emergency services when necessary and assist in emergency situations.
- Complete incident reports when required.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when interacting with guests.

Requirements




- Valid BC Security Worker Licence.
- Previous security experience is preferred, particularly in banquet halls, event venues, bars, clubs, hotels, or similar environments.
- Strong communication and conflict-management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Comfortable working around large crowds and busy events.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be available for evening and late-night shifts.
- Weekend availability, particularly Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, is important.

Schedule This is a part-time evening position. Hours will depend on our event schedule and may include:

- Friday evenings
- Saturday evenings
- Sunday evenings
- Occasional weekday events
- Late-night shifts depending on event finishing times
