About the Position

Z Plus Security Ltd. is seeking professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Guards to join our team. Security Guards are responsible for protecting clients, employees, visitors, property, and assets while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas and premises.
- Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and restricted areas.
- Control access to buildings and ensure only authorized individuals enter.
- Monitor CCTV and security systems where applicable.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents and emergencies.
- Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.
- Assist clients, employees, visitors, and the public in a professional manner.
- Follow site-specific security procedures, policies, and post orders.
- Contact emergency services when required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security responsibilities.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence.




- Previous security experience is an asset but not always required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions under pressure.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Basic computer and report-writing skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications
- OFA/First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in healthcare, commercial, industrial, retail, residential, or mobile security.
- Valid driver's licence for positions requiring mobile patrol.
- Additional security training or certifications.
