We are a growing transportation and logistics company based in Surrey, BC. We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Accountant & Office Manager to take full ownership of our accounting operations and support day-to-day office administration.

Job Summary

This is a key leadership role responsible for managing all accounting functions independently while also overseeing general office operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of handling both financial and administrative responsibilities in a rapid-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Duties

- Manage full-cycle accounting (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, general ledger)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Handle GST/HST filings, payroll remittances, and corporate tax coordination
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records
- Track transportation-related expenses (fuel, maintenance, fleet costs)
- Ensure compliance with CRA regulations and Canadian accounting standards
- Coordinate with external accountants and auditors




- Oversee day-to-day office operations and administrative tasks
- Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and general office organization

Qualifications

- CPA designation preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience (senior-level preferred)
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or trucking industry is an asset
- Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws and accounting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
