About the Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant owns the full accounting cycle and monthly financial statement preparation for one or more of our operating companies, and builds Power BI reports and dashboards that turn financial data into insight for leadership.

What you will do:

- Manage the full accounting cycle: journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements for review by the Corporate Controller
- Support intercompany accounting across the group of companies
- Build and maintain Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards from multiple data tables
- Analyze financial and operational data and report on trends and variances
- Assist with budgets, forecasts,



and year-end working papers for external accountants
- Help improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting tools

What we need from you:

- Post-secondary education in accounting or finance; CPA or CPA candidacy an asset
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, including producing monthly financial statements
- Proficiency in all aspects of the accounting cycle
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI: building reports and dashboards from data tables and analyzing data
- Strong Excel skills and comfort with large data sets
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to deadlines
- Construction, project-based, or multi-entity accounting experience an asset
