Position Details

- Pay: $34-$42 / hr
- Job Type: Full-Time In-Office
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare permit and construction drawings that comply with applicable codes, by-laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Develop conceptual designs using Revit and Enscape to provide clients with a clear project overview.
- Develop detailed building sections, wall assemblies, roof assemblies, foundation details, and construction details.
- Prepare and coordinate drawings for planning and building permit applications.
- Review drawings for constructability, coordination, accuracy, and completeness.




- Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders throughout the design process to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders.
- Participate in client design meetings.

Qualifications

- BCIN Certification (Small Buildings or Large Buildings) or AATO Certification.
- Diploma or Degree in Architectural Construction Technology.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Revit.
- Strong ability to interpret and apply the Ontario Building Code in conjunction with building science principles, construction assemblies, and real-world construction practices.
- Familiarity with municipal by-laws, conservation authorities, and other governing authorities.
- Experience preparing and submitting drawings for site plan applications and building permit applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Ontario construction methods and practices in residential, agricultural, and commercial projects.

Bonus Skills

- Experience with timber-frame construction.
- Experience completing quantity take-offs and estimates.
- Previous on-site construction experience.
