Senior Digital Business Analyst – Online/Mobile Banking

Location: Montreal, QC (Local Candidates Required – English Only is OK)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Rate: $65–75/hr Inc.

Overview

Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Digital Business Analyst to support medium to large-scale technology initiatives within its digital banking environment. This role will lead requirements activities across business and technology teams, with a strong focus on online and mobile banking solutions.

Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end requirements planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management
- Gather and document both business and system requirements independently
- Develop user stories, business/system specifications, process maps, and context diagrams
- Facilitate requirements sessions with large groups of business and technology stakeholders
- Conduct gap analysis and identify business process improvements
- Identify, track, and resolve business and systems issues
- Support Agile and Waterfall project delivery
- Partner with business and IT teams throughout implementation and testing
- Identify project risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies

Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Business Analyst/BSA experience
- Robust experience with online banking and/or mobile banking




- 2+ years of experience working on Agile projects
- Proven ability to independently gather business and technical/system requirements
- Strong knowledge of requirements methodologies across Agile and Waterfall environments
- Experience creating user stories, business/system specifications, process maps, and context diagrams
- Experience supporting large-scale technology projects ($2M+)
- Advanced analytical, gap analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Strong facilitation skills, including sessions with 15–20+ stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline

Nice to Have
- Financial services experience, particularly lending products
- Strong Business Systems Analyst (BSA) experience
- CBAP or PMI-PBA certification
- Master’s Certificate in Business Analysis
