A career as a Senior Credit Analyst in the Equipment Financing team at National Bank means acting as a credit specialist who supports informed decisions for complex financing needs. Analyze financial statements and credit applications to assess risks and recommend appropriate loan structures.
- Prepare clear, well‑supported credit submissions for new and existing clients in equipment financing.
- Ensure the quality and compliance of credit files in line with internal policies, regulatory expectations, and risk appetite.
- Collaborate closely with senior commercial relationship managers to support financing strategies for medium and large commercial clients.
- Identify potential risks, trends, and opportunities, and recommend adequate mitigation strategies.
- Support the development of colleagues by providing guidance, coaching, and expertise in credit underwriting. Will consists of specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and team-oriented manner to seize opportunities, stay at the cutting edge of technology, and improve processes continuously. Within the Equipment Financing department, you are part of a team dedicated to offering high‑value advice to commercial clients. Hold a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and several years of experience (typically 5+ years in financial services, including 3 years in business lending).
- Demonstrated expertise in credit underwriting, financial statement analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of equipment financing, leasing, collateral security, and documentation requirements.
- Ability to manage a high volume of complex credit requests with sound judgment and prioritization.
