Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Data & Analytics Platform Administrator to administer and maintain Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure SQL data platforms

Join a data and analytics team responsible for administering and optimizing enterprise cloud data platforms and infrastructure. This role supports Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure SQL, Azure Integration Services, and Microsoft Purview environments with a focus on governance, security, performance, and compliance. The position includes platform administration, database operations, CI/CD support, and cloud infrastructure management across a complex enterprise data workplace.

Hybrid Ottawa (2 days per week on site)

Must Haves

- Experience indata platform administration , database administration , and cloud infrastructure management

- Microsoft Fabric , Power BI , tenant administration , workspace governance , RLS/OLS

- College diploma, certificate, or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Cloud Computing, Systems Administration, or a related field

- Eligible for reliability clearance

Nice to Have

- Microsoft Purview and Collibra administration

- PowerShell scripting for automation and administration

- Infrastructure as code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform

- Git and Azure DevOps CI/CD

- Azure Monitor and Log Analytics

Responsibilities

- Administer Microsoft Fabric tenant settings, capacities, and workspace configurations





- Manage Power BI tenant administration including governance, gateway management, and capacity monitoring

- Perform SQL Server and Azure SQL database administration including backup/restore, performance tuning, and RBAC management

- Configure Microsoft Purview governance policies, classification rules, sensitivity labels, and data catalog features

- Maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, and architecture diagrams

- Manage platform-related work items and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
