Job Title: Senior / Lead Dynamics 365 CRM Solution Architect – Government of Canada

Location: Canada (Remote / Hybrid options based on Government Department requirements)

Security Clearance: Government of Canada Reliability Status (Mandatory)

Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior / Lead Dynamics 365 CRM Solution Architect for an enterprise-level Government of Canada modernization initiative.

This is a senior technical leadership and enterprise architecture role responsible for driving the architecture, design, security, integration, and governance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM solutions across public-sector environments. You will own the high-level architecture roadmap, define Dataverse and Azure integration patterns, establish ALM and security frameworks, and lead architectural governance alongside government stakeholders, security officers, and enterprise implementation teams.

Note: This is an Enterprise Solution Architecture and Technical Leadership role. It is NOT a hands-on developer, functional analyst, CRM administrator, or junior technical lead position.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (Knockout Criteria)Candidates MUST meet ALL of the following mandatory requirements to be considered. Applications that do not meet these criteria will be automatically screened out.

- 15+ Years of overall IT experience.
- 10+ Years of dedicated Solution Architecture / Enterprise Architecture experience.
- 7+ Years of hands-on Dynamics 365 CRM / Power Platform solution architecture experience.
- Lead Architect Experience: Must have successfully led the solution architecture for at least 3 enterprise-scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM implementations, major releases, or digital transformation programs.
- Core Product Mastery: Demonstrated enterprise architecture expertise across Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Microsoft Dataverse, and Dynamics 365 Public Sector solutions.
- Integration & Azure Architecture: Proven track record designing REST APIs, enterprise integration pipelines, middleware, and Microsoft Azure architectures (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management).
- Security Architecture: Deep expertise in enterprise CRM security models, Dataverse access control, role-based security, Microsoft Entra ID integration, and public-sector data protection frameworks.
- Document Management Integration: Direct experience designing enterprise document management patterns (e.g., SharePoint, specialized content repositories) integrated with Dynamics 365.




- Canadian Public-Sector Experience: Demonstrated experience architecture-leading projects for Government of Canada departments, agencies, or major Canadian provincial/municipal bodies.
- Mandatory Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert / Designing Azure Infrastructure (AZ-305)
- Mandatory Security Clearance: Active Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance.

- Dynamics 365 Development alone does NOT satisfy the architecture requirement.
- Power Platform customization without enterprise D365 CRM architecture responsibilities does NOT satisfy the requirement.
- Project / Delivery Management does NOT substitute for Solution Architecture experience.
- General Azure Infrastructure administration without solution design ownership does NOT satisfy the Azure architecture requirement.
- Private-Sector experience alone does NOT satisfy the Canadian public-sector mandate.
- Candidates must have held direct responsibility for producing Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), Technical Design Documents (TDDs), threat-risk assessment inputs, and enterprise integration patterns.

Electronic Records Management integration patterns. Canadian Public-Sector FocusThe selected candidate will navigate complex public-sector environments. You must demonstrate direct experience with:

- Government of Canada enterprise standards, Treasury Board policies, and departmental architecture governance boards.
- Federal/Provincial digital modernization programs and public service delivery frameworks.
- Public-sector security controls, data residency constraints, and accessibility requirements (e.g., Standard on Web Accessibility / WCAG).

Applicants must explicitly detail their Canadian public-sector engagements in their application. Key Responsibilities

- Architectural Ownership: Define, document, and govern the end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform solution architecture aligned with government enterprise architecture standards.
- Enterprise Integration Design: Architect robust, secure REST APIs and integration flows connecting D365 with legacy back-office systems, databases, and third-party public-sector services via Azure Integration Services.
- Security & • Governance:

Establish comprehensive security frameworks covering Dataverse role-based access control, Entra ID integration, environment isolation, and privacy/data governance compliance.
- Technical Leadership: Serve as the primary technical authority; guide developers, technical leads, and integration engineers while reviewing technical artifacts for architectural compliance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present architecture blueprints, technical trade-offs, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to Government of Canada directors, enterprise architects, security teams, and business owners.
- ALM & • Environment Strategy:

Define release pipelines, workplace topologies, solution segmentation, and Automated Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) policies using Azure DevOps.
- Risk & • Quality Management:

Identify architectural risks, technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and scalability constraints; formulate concrete mitigation plans.
