About The Job

With exploration currently underway and additional licences incoming, we're looking for an experienced Senior Exploration Geologist in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. to lead exploration efforts across our portfolio in the search for gold and base metal deposits within the Arabian Nubian Shield. This is a rare opportunity to take technical ownership of exploration in one of the world's most exciting emerging mining jurisdictions, where highly prospective ground is being systematically explored with modern methods for the first time in decades.

You will drive the full exploration cycle across our licence areas, from regional target generation through to drill testing. That means designing and managing field programs, integrating geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets into robust exploration models, prioritising targets across a growing portfolio, and leading contractors and field teams on the ground.

Now we're bringing that same approach to a new jurisdiction, and we're looking for the geologists who will lead it. This is exploration from the ground floor with a company that has proven it knows how to make discoveries. You'll have the mandate to generate targets, shape the program, and build something from first principles, with a company that has done exactly that before.

Discoveries are made by explorers who are given the room to explore. At Power Metallic, that's the job.

The role

- Lead the identification of exploration targets and planning of exploration programs
- Supervise and provide technical mentoring and training to field personnel
- Supervise aircore, reverse circulation and diamond drilling programs
- Manage and maintain permitting for exploration activities
- Manage application and renewal process for exploration licenses with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.
- Perform high-quality geological logging, mapping, and interpretation
- Design and oversee geophysical and surface geochemical surveys
- Expertise in data integration to validate conceptual and solid geology models




- Have a sound understanding of sampling techniques and QAQC protocols
- Assist in the maintenance and progress of a well-balanced exploration portfolio
- Attend regular meetings to report on program status
- Provide input into project reviews and budgeting
- Contribute to discussions with the Exploration team on the review of exploration opportunities
- Contribute to weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required
- Maintain geological databases to record and report on drilling and tenement activities

About you

- Tertiary qualified geologist with recent and relevant gold exploration experience (ideally 7+ years post graduate)
- Drill supervision and contractor management experience
- Experience with people administration
- Be passionate about making a new discovery
- Track record in delivering well-planned exploration programs
- Current Private Driving License
- Be computer literate, including a competent user of industry standard mining and GIS software; preferably Leapfrog and QGIS
- Enjoy working as part of a small and agile team
- Willingness to travel frequently to remote field locations.
- Fluency in English is required, with Arabic proficiency preferred for local stakeholder engagement.
- Preferred:
- Proven track record in managing exploration teams and field operations in the Middle East.
- Understanding of Saudi mining laws and MIMR licensing procedures
