Join Diabetes Canada as a Senior Governance Specialist, guiding vital governance functions for both Diabetes Canada and National Diabetes Trust. This position involves collaborating with the Board to promote effective decision-making. Reporting to the President & CEO, you’ll assist in overseeing board activities, ensuring legal compliance, and managing risk assessments.
Your role as a governance advisor is instrumental in shaping policy frameworks that align with best practices. You'll play a key role in fostering an inclusive workplace and supporting organizational excellence. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the development of Board meeting materials
- Maintain an up-to-date governance policy inventory
- Support organizational compliance with governance standards
- Administer Board document execution
- Coordinate annual General Meetings Requirements:
- 3–5 years’ experience in governance roles
- Degree in Business Administration, Law, or related
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
