Position Overview Our client, a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) known for delivering high-impact, worry-free IT solutions, is seeking a Senior IT Solutions Engineer to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position sits right at the heart of technical delivery and operational execution. You will take complete ownership of end-to-end IT infrastructure projects for SMB clients—leading discovery, technical planning, deployment, cutover, and final handoff.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role designed for a skilled MSP professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves solving complex technical challenges, and enjoys mentoring junior technicians along the way. If you bring strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a drive to take full initiative, this is your opportunity to step into a key operational role with transparent room for long-term growth!

Key Responsibilities

- Project Ownership & Execution: Lead and independently execute end-to-end IT infrastructure projects for SMB clients—from initial site assessments and discovery to cutover, technical documentation, and final handoff.
- Cloud & Server Migrations: Design, deploy, and execute cloud migrations (Microsoft 365, tenant-to-tenant, Exchange Online, SharePoint) as well as Windows Server upgrades, Active Directory / Entra ID, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Virtualization & Systems Management: Plan and execute server replacement, virtualization, and host migration projects utilizing industry-standard hypervisors (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Network Infrastructure & Deployment: Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot robust network infrastructure, including enterprise-grade firewalls, managed switches,

wireless access points, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Client & Vendor Collaboration: Serve as the primary technical point of contact during project rollouts; coordinate vendors, lead client kickoff discussions, and clearly translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Guidance & Mentorship: Act as a senior escalation resource and mentor for project technicians and service team members, guiding tasks and troubleshooting complex roadblocks.
- Documentation & Standards: Maintain exact technical records, network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and configuration benchmarks across client environments.

Key Requirements

- Experience: 5-8 years of direct experience in an MSP or client-facing IT managed services environment.
- Network Infrastructure: Strong, hands-on expertise in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, managed switches, wireless access points, VLANs, and remote connectivity (VPNs).
- Cloud & Directory Services: Proven track record executing SMB cloud migrations (Microsoft 365 / Cloud Productivity suites) and deploying Windows Server and identity management systems.
- Virtualization Systems: Hands-on experience with core virtualization environments and workload migration workflows.

- Professional Attributes
- A proactive problem-solver who takes ownership with a strong,

curiosity-driven initiative.
- Strong communication skills, adaptable under pressure, and comfortable collaborating across both technical and non-technical teams.
- Autonomy & Time Management: Ability to self-manage project timelines, prioritize tasks with minimal supervision, and execute both onsite and remote deployments.

Nice to Have

- Exposure to endpoint management and MDM tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune).
- Experience with cloud/VoIP telephony platforms.
- Fundamental scripting or operational automation skills (e.g., PowerShell).
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Networking, or Security credentials).
