Who We Are:
Agueci Calabretta is a boutique law firm focused on debtor/creditor law with an emphasis on mortgage and debt enforcement for financial institutions.
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for an experienced Law Clerk for a full-time position to join our dynamic and growing firm in servicing our financial institution clients. This mid-level position will focus primarily on unsecured debt enforcement matters. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare legal documents including claims, judgments, writs, and correspondences related to debt enforcement actions in a timely manner;
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and easily accessible;
- Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, financial institutions, and court staff to schedule hearings;
- Assist with file administration and billing matters;
- Coordinate document production and manage the discovery process, if required; and
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide case updates under lawyer supervision.
Skills:
- Law Clerk Diploma from an accredited institution (preferred);
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a law clerk;
- Experience with debt enforcement is a strong asset;
- Proficiency in legal practice management software;
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Superior organizational and time management abilities;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy; and
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
