The Senior Marketing Manager develops and leads marketing strategies, campaigns and audience engagement plans that align with the strategic priorities of Nature United, the Canadian affiliate of the world’s largest conservation organization, The Nature Conservancy (nature.This role is responsible for advancing audience development, strengthening brand visibility and delivering integrated campaigns that support organizational goals, including conservation outcomes, fundraising and public engagement. The role also contributes to strategic communications and content development, and requires robust writing, messaging and storytelling skills.
The Senior Marketing Manager leads the development and implementation of plans and campaigns that expand reach, deepen engagement with priority audiences, and strengthen our organization’s visibility and reputation in alignment with marketing strategies. They manage all aspects of assigned marketing initiatives and ensure that creative work reflects the organization’s brand, positioning and voice, while meeting the needs of internal partners and external audiences. This role works across disciplines and channels, including audience development, campaign strategy, storytelling, content and messaging development, digital marketing, and brand visibility.
The Senior Marketing
Manager works closely with colleagues across communications, philanthropy, conservation and leadership teams to develop integrated plans and content that advance organizational priorities. In this work, they are expected to apply sound judgment and contribute to communications and marketing approaches that reflect the organization’s commitments to Indigenous right relations, including collaborative storytelling, respectful engagement and care in audience-facing and partnership communications.
The Senior Marketing
Manager translates complex or technical information into clear, compelling content for a range of audiences. They may develop or guide messaging, written content, campaign materials and assets in support of both marketing and broader communications objectives. They work closely with senior staff,
teams within Canada and at divisional and global levels, external partners, vendors and other key stakeholders to ensure delivery of high-quality projects that contribute to strong service relationships and organizational impact.
They may coordinate and manage budgets for initiatives or campaigns and may oversee the day-to-day work of a program or project.
Lead and manage assigned marketing strategies, campaigns and audience engagement initiatives
Create or guide the development of compelling written content, messaging and storytelling for campaigns and related communications needs
Partner with internal teams to develop integrated marketing and communications approaches that support conservation priorities, fundraising efforts and organizational visibility
Serve as a strategic partner to internal teams and collaborators, helping shape approaches, clarify goals, and align projects with audience and brand strategy
Ensure that creative work reflects organizational positioning, brand standards and voice across channels and materials
Track performance and apply insights to strengthen audience engagement, campaign effectiveness, and overall impact
May supervise professional and/or administrative staff
Responsibility and accountability for meeting project goals and objectives
Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum 7 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience managing client and account relationships.
Experience implementing, and managing multiple complex projects.
Experience translating strategic goals into audience-focused plans, content and campaigns.
Strong writing and editing experience for a variety of audiences and formats.
Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies,
campaigns and audience engagement initiatives.
Experience conceiving and writing creatively for various audiences from technical or complex information.
Experience working across marketing and communications functions in a team-oriented environment.
Experience supporting communications or marketing work in ways that advance Indigenous right relations, including the ability to approach storytelling, audience engagement, and partnership communications with cultural awareness, respect, and solid judgment.
Practical knowledge of current and evolving trends related to marketing, audience engagement, digital channels and content strategy.
Experience conceiving and writing creatively for various audiences from technical information.
Detailed knowledge of procedures and terms in relevant field of experience.The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $104,000 - $112,000 CAD for annual base salary.
