Join a global IT Operations team responsible for delivering highly available, secure, and scalable compute services that support critical business operations across the Americas. As a Senior Compute Operations Specialist , you will leverage your deep infrastructure expertise to ensure operational excellence, drive continuous improvement, and support the ongoing evolution of WSP's enterprise compute environment.
Working with professionals and management to identify opportunities for improvements in people, processes, and technology. Leading team members on the development of methods, techniques, and various analytical approaches. Managing, monitoring, and maintenance of day-to-day activities to align with expected service levels.
Managing upgrades and performance related activities. Planning and execution of minor infrastructure moves, adds, changes, and disposals (IMACDs). Execution of business continuity tests. Proactive identification and resolution of issues before they affect service performance.
Engaging in the problem management process. Technical peer review and approvals for all related changes. Management and maintenance of related platforms. Providing on-call support and extended working hours when called on and willingness to accept periodic rotation.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience working in large/global enterprise IT environments with multiple distributed branch/campus sites.
Experience working within an ITIL-aligned Service Management organization.

Knowledge of backup access, data retrieval, data integrity, and high availability.
Experience managing data retention policies through system procedures.
Experience testing and refining backup strategies to minimize Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
Experience with disaster recovery planning, data migrations, and storage performance optimization. Proven ability to optimize server and storage performance, capacity, and reliability while considering growth projections and industry best practices. Excellent written and spoken English.
French or Spanish language skills are considered an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management. Ability to work with minimal supervision and little to no instruction.
Strong leadership and coaching skills. Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent documentation abilities. Knowledge and experience applying information security practices in the management and delivery of infrastructure and operations.

$103,500 - $137,400 The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
