Position: Senior Service & UX Designer

Duration: 12 months

Client Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid Role): 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

Engagement Model: Qualified Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Hybrid, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead human-centred design activities across ASHC digital services.
- Plan and conduct user research, interviews, workshops, usability testing, and discovery activities.
- Develop journey maps, service blueprints, and future-state service models.
- Create UX deliverables including information architecture, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Design accessible, responsive user interfaces for web and enterprise platforms.
- Develop and maintain enterprise design systems and design standards.
- Apply WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards throughout the design lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, and QA teams.
- Facilitate workshops, design thinking sessions, and stakeholder engagements.
- Support developer handoff, design QA, and validation activities.
- Measure user outcomes and drive continuous service improvement.

Mandatory Requirements / Job Specs

Experience

- Minimum 10 years of progressive UX, UI, and Service Design experience in complex enterprise environments.
- Minimum 5 years supporting digital transformation initiatives within government, public sector, crown corporations, or comparable environments.

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in:
- Interaction Design
- Human Computer Interaction (HCI)
- Product Design
- User Experience Design
- Industrial Design
- Graphic Design
- Computer Science
- Related discipline
