About this Opportunity:

The Senior Accountant supports key components of the month-end and year-end close processes, prepares financial statements, performs complex account reconciliations, and supports audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound professional judgment, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues throughout the Doornekamp Group of Companies.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

- Support the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting requirements of the Doornekamp Group of Companies.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities for multiple entities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
- Produce accurate and timely financial statements and management reports for companies within the Group.
- Prepare consolidated reporting and reconcile intercompany accounts and transactions.
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and communicate significant findings to management.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and established procedures.
- Perform accounting activities related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and intercompany transactions.
- Collaborate with operational and administrative teams across the Doornekamp Group to ensure complete and accurate financial information.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow analysis,



and other financial-planning activities across the Group.
- Coordinate external audits and prepare requested schedules, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Support tax filings, regulatory reporting, and other compliance requirements for multiple entities.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and documented procedures.
- Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and improve accounting and reporting processes across the Group.
- Participate in special projects and perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; equivalent education and experience will also be considered.
- Professional accounting designation would be considered an asset.
- At least five [5] years of progressive accounting experience, including experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using accounting Sage Software is considered an asset.
- Experience preparing audit documentation and working with external auditors.
- Strong understanding of project-based accounting and job cost reporting.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting a group of related companies or a multi-entity organization.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
