The Senior Standards Program
Manager for Combustion, Cable and Conduit (CCC) will support a diverse portfolio of standards and lead the execution of our standards development and maintenance process to advance the mission of UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) to make the world safer, more secure, and sustainable.

Manager will leverage expertise to inform the standards development strategy focused on optimization, efficiency, capacity and impact of safety standards.
The Senior Standards
Program manager will ensure the effective execution of the processes for developing and maintaining high-quality standards while providing oversight and guidance to standards team members. As the Senior Standards Program Manager (CCC), you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you: Manage multiple projects to ensure successful execution aligned with organizational goals. Serve as subject matter expert in technical or program area.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders relative to assigned portfolio, actively engage external stakeholders, and represent the organization through presentations, technical committees, panel discussions, and publications. Develop and implement technical program strategic plans, processes, communication systems, information systems and performance measurement systems. Scope and lead end-to-end project plans.
Troubleshoot and address complex and undefined issues impacting broad areas of the standards development organization, and lead process improvement within cross-functional partnerships.
Continuously monitor the performance and status of standards within the portfolio. Lead collaborative efforts and consensus building to advance safety standards initiatives.
Lead technical committee chairs and multiple standards teams with complex workstreams that span one or more program area. Provide oversight, guidance, coaching and training to junior and seasoned team members. Maintain continued awareness of industry trends and external context related to the portfolio, offering insight to inform strategic decisions and direction of the standards development function.

While no one candidate will embody every quality, the successful candidate will bring many of the following professional competencies and personal attributes: Demonstrated advanced level knowledge in program management, with advanced expertise to lead, mentor, and manage the execution of processes or projects within technical or program area. Able to set strategic direction, interpret, support, and execute organizational strategy while effectively translating objectives into actionable plans and driving successful execution.
Proven capability in establishing effective relationships with others, including senior leaders and external stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 9 years of related work experience. PMP or relevant project management certification a plus.
