Role Description The Senior System Administrator is a contract role based in Toronto, ON with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for administering and maintaining servers, networks, cloud environments, and related infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance. Day-to-day activities include monitoring systems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, implementing patches and upgrades, and supporting complex deployments across managed IT and cloud environments.





The Senior System

Administrator collaborates with helpdesk, cybersecurity, and network teams, provides escalation support for critical incidents, documents configurations and procedures, and contributes to infrastructure projects and technology improvements.

Qualifications

- Robust System Administration skills, including managing Windows and/or Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support for complex infrastructure issues, including performance, connectivity, and security-related problems.
- Experience with Network Administration, including firewalls, switches, VPNs, and network monitoring tools.
- Broad Information Technology knowledge across managed services, cybersecurity best practices, backup and disaster recovery, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Server, Citrix and Office 365 Migration Experiance
- Prior experience in an MSP or similar fast-paced, client-facing environment is highly beneficial.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work setting.
