About Us The Celtic Hearth is one of the only 24-hour restaurants in downtown St. John’s—our kitchen never closes. Overnight is a unique shift with its own pace, regulars, and late-night crowd, and we’re looking for someone who can own that room.

Position Overview

As an Overnight Server, you are responsible for delivering quick, friendly, and attentive service during late-night hours. You’ll manage tables, take orders, run food and drinks, handle payments, and help maintain a clean, safe environment—all while keeping the energy up through the night. Hours: Overnight shifts (typically 10PM–5AM or similar)

Key Responsibilities

- Provide efficient, welcoming service to guests during overnight hours
- Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system
- Serve food and beverages promptly and check in with guests regularly
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining area, and service stations




- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Monitor guest behavior and maintain a safe, respectful environment
- Assist with side duties including stocking, cleaning, and setup for morning shift

- Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Previous serving or hospitality experience is an asset
- Must be able to handle late-night clientele professionally

Pay: From $16.35 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate

- St. John's, NL A1C 1B8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
- serving: 1 year (preferred)
