Crew Electrical Services
Calgary
Crew Technical Services Inc. is a growing Calgary-based electrical contractor specializing in commercial electrical, service work, and residential projects. We’re looking for an experienced Journeyperson Service Electrician who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and is comfortable working directly with customers.
We’re a smaller, entrepreneurial company where good people have the opportunity to take ownership of their work, build strong customer relationships, and grow with the business. This isn’t a position where you’ll simply be handed a task list every morning—we’re looking for someone who can think on their feet, communicate well, and take responsibility for delivering a great customer experience from start to finish.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Service Electrician with Crew Technical Services Inc., you’ll be trusted to manage service calls professionally and efficiently while representing our company in the field.
Your responsibilities will include
- Completing electrical service calls in commercial, residential, and emergency service environments
- Troubleshooting electrical problems and developing practical, code-compliant solutions
- Repairing, replacing, and installing electrical equipment with a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Communicating directly with customers in a professional, patient, and people-first manner
- Preparing and presenting estimates of up to $2,000 using our digital work-order software
- Completing work orders, finalizing invoices, and collecting customer payments on-site using a company-provided tablet
- Managing purchase orders and coordinating material purchases for your jobs
- Maintaining accurate documentation for service work
- Participating in a rotating on-call schedule
- Adapting to a service-based schedule that can change throughout the day as customer needs and priorities change
This is not a traditional 7:00 AM–3:00 PM construction position. Service work requires flexibility, independence, and the ability to adapt when the day doesn’t go exactly according to plan.
What We’re Looking For The right person is an experienced electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, takes ownership of their work, and understands that great service is about more than simply fixing an electrical problem.
Minimum Requirements

- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Solid working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to provide a satisfactory criminal record check

- Valid aerial work platform/man-lift training
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with customers
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Able to take direction and work effectively as part of a team

- Electrical estimating experience
- Previous experience operating and maintaining a company service van

What You Can Expect From Us Crew Technical Services Inc. is a team of hard-working, entrepreneurial electricians who care about doing valuable work and building a company we're proud of.
Because we're a growing company, this position offers something that can be difficult to find at a larger contractor: the opportunity to have an impact and grow as the company grows.
You won't just be another employee number. You'll work directly with experienced Journeypersons and company leadership, interact with customers,
take ownership of your own service calls, and progressively gain more independence as you demonstrate your abilities.
During your first three months, you'll receive regular one-on-one support and feedback to help you learn our systems, understand our expectations, and become successful in the role.
What We Offer

- Company tools, technology, and systems to support you in the field
- A mix of commercial, service, and residential work
- Opportunity to work independently and take ownership of your jobs
- Direct access to company leadership
- A supportive onboarding and probationary period
- Opportunities for increased responsibility and advancement as the company grows

Who Will Do Well Here? You'll probably enjoy working with us if you're the type of electrician who sees a problem and wants to figure it out.
You take pride in leaving a job better than you found it. You can talk comfortably with a customer, explain what you've found, recommend a solution, and then execute the work properly.
You're comfortable being trusted to make decisions, but you're also willing to ask questions and learn when you don't know something.
Most importantly, you're looking for more than just your next electrical job. You're interested in joining a growing company where strong performance can lead to more responsibility, greater independence, and long-term career opportunities.
