Job Advertisement: Mechanic

Uniclean is a trusted facility maintenance company, known for our commitment to quality and reliable service. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Mechanic to join our team and help maintain our fleet of commercial cleaning equipment to ensure reliable service.

Summary In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Uniclean's commercial cleaning equipment, including auto scrubbers, burnishers, floor machines, and other cleaning equipment. You will work both at our in-house workshop and travel to client locations when on-site repairs are required. You will also be responsible for accurately documenting maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history using MaintainX, ensuring all maintenance records are up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial cleaning equipment, including auto scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, vacuums, and other floor care machines.
- Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, battery, and operational issues.
- Travel to customer and job sites to perform equipment inspections and repairs as required.
- Complete equipment servicing and repairs at the company's workshop.
- Record all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, parts used, and equipment history in MaintainX.
- Create, update,



and close work orders in MaintainX while ensuring maintenance records are accurate and completed on time.
- Assist with scheduling preventative maintenance and monitoring upcoming service requirements through MaintainX.
- Maintain inventory of replacement parts, batteries, and repair supplies, and report inventory shortages.
- Ensure equipment meets safety standards before returning it to service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop and work environment.
- Communicate repair status, maintenance schedules, and equipment needs with management. service staff and operations staff.

Qualifications:

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites.
- Experience repairing commercial cleaning equipment, industrial equipment, small engines, or similar machinery is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, batteries, motors, and mechanical components.
- Comfortable using computers and maintenance management software to document repairs and equipment history.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
