We are looking for a Set-Up Technician to support our production and maintenance teams. The Set-Up Technician is responsible for assembling, setting up, and testing production equipment before the start of each production day. This role also assists with equipment checks, basic maintenance and repairs, and troubleshooting to help keep production running safely and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Set up and assemble production equipment based on the daily production schedule.
- Test equipment before production begins to ensure it is operating properly and ready for use.
- Ensure all required equipment is in place before production starts, including tables, tapers, metal detectors, and other production equipment.
- Complete high-risk checklists and required food safety checks.
- Ensure all tools and parts used during daily tasks are clean, accounted for, and properly stored.
- Perform regular line checks to identify equipment issues and help ensure production lines are operating smoothly.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and minor repairs as required.
- Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
- Assist Maintenance Technicians with repairs, equipment inspections, machine tear-downs, cleaning, and other maintenance-related tasks.
- Check equipment components such as motors, gearboxes, shafts, and other mechanical parts for proper operation and alignment.
- Inspect and clean evaporator coils to help maintain proper production-floor temperatures.
- Communicate equipment concerns or maintenance needs to the appropriate team members.
- Follow all company health and safety, GMP, food safety,



and sanitation requirements.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Perform other related duties as assigned based on the needs of the business.

Hours and Compensation
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Monday to Friday, 3:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
- Weekend work may be required based on business needs, typically every other Saturday for a half day.
- $19.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Company BBQs, events, and other employee activities.

Education, Skills and Experience
- Basic mechanical knowledge and an interest in equipment and machinery.
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools, including wrenches, drills, grinders, and measuring devices.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to follow proper health and safety procedures.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with production equipment, machinery, vehicles, small engines, or similar mechanical equipment is an asset.
- Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, maintenance,



or food production environment is an asset.
- Knowledge of GMPs and food safety standards is an asset.
- Reliable and able to consistently work the 3:30 a.m. start time.

- 3:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
- Weekends as needed
