Mianco Infrastructure Inc. is hiring experienced sewer and water personnel for municipal infrastructure projects throughout the GTA and surrounding areas.

We are looking to build a strong, experienced underground crew capable of installing storm, sanitary and watermain safely, accurately and at a positive production rate.

Full crews are strongly encouraged to apply. Individual applicants are also welcome.

Scope of Work

- Storm sewer installation
- Sanitary sewer installation
- Watermain installation
- Catch basins and maintenance holes
- Services and connections
- Trenching, bedding and backfill
- Line and grade
- Deep excavation and shoring
- Working around existing utilities
- Municipal road reconstruction and site servicing

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for people with real sewer and water experience who understand underground construction and can work productively as part of an experienced crew.

Depending on the position, candidates should have experience with:

- Reading construction drawings and grades
- Setting and maintaining line and grade
- Pipe laser setup and use
- Installing PVC, concrete and other municipal piping
- Watermain installation, fittings, valves and services
- Catch basin and maintenance hole installation
- Bedding, compaction and backfill procedures
- Deep excavations, trench boxes and shoring
- Working safely around existing utilities
- Maintaining good production without sacrificing quality

FOREMAN

Foreman applicants must be capable of running a sewer/water crew, planning daily production, coordinating manpower and equipment,



reading drawings, identifying problems before they cause delays, and keeping the crew productive.

OPERATORS

Operators must have previous sewer and water installation experience.

Excavator operators should be comfortable with:

- Excavating for sewer and watermain
- Deep trench excavation
- Working with trench boxes and shoring
- Excavating around existing utilities
- Working closely with pipelayers
- Bedding and placing pipe
- Catch basins and maintenance holes
- Maintaining production while excavating safely and accurately

Loader/backhoe operators

- Experience supporting an active sewer/water crew, including material handling, bedding, backfill, road excavation and maintaining the work area.
- General equipment operating experience alone is not sufficient. Underground sewer/water experience is preferred

Requirements

- Previous sewer/water or underground municipal construction experience
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Strong understanding of construction safety
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work outdoors and extended hours when required
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production-focused crew
- Relevant Ontario safety certifications are an asset, including WHMIS, working at Weights and Confined Space

Compensation

Competitive wages based on position, experience and demonstrated ability.





We are willing to pay accordingly for experienced people who know underground work and can produce.
