MacKinnon & Olding is seeking experienced Sheet Metal Cladders to support ongoing work on Canada’s Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessel (AOPV) Program at Iving Shipbuilding in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

This role includes the fabrication and installation of stainless steel, aluminum, and perforated metal jacketing/cladding systems over Deckhead and Bulkhead insulation in a marine shipbuilding environment.

Please note that the successful candidate will need to obtain their Controlled Goods Clearance and Reliability Status to enter the shipyard.

RESPONSIBILITIES: What you will do

- Install sheet metal cladding over insulated deckhead and bulkheads
- Measure, cut, form, fit, and secure stainless steel and perforated metal coverings
- Work safely in a shipyard setting
- Coordinate with insulation crews and other trades to maintain project schedules

QUALIFICATIONS: Your background

- Experience as a sheet metal worker, industrial cladder, marine insulator, or related trade
- Ability to fabricate and install stainless steel and aluminum cladding
- Experience in shipbuilding, marine, industrial, oil & gas, power generation, or commercial projects is considered an asset
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to obtain shipyard security clearance
