Your role with us
Reporting to the Warehouse supervisor, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the safe, accurate and timely movement of materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. As a key point of contact for inbound and outbound activities. The shipper/ receiver supports warehouse operations by receiving, storing, transferring the shipping materials while maintaining accurate inventory reports, prepping shipping documentation and ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
You will bring to the role:
- Minimum 2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience handling raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, and a strong understanding of production requirements.
- Experience preparing and processing shipping documents, including packing slips waybills, and related documents.
- Proficiency with computer systems and experience using ERP systems, RF scanners, and MS Office applications.
- Experience operating material handing equipment, including sit down and stand-up forklifts.
- Experience working in a pipe yard or similar industrial setting involving large materials and heavy loads is preferred.
- Combi lift experience is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external customers.
