About the Position
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Shipper / Receiver & Shop Assistant to join our team.
This is a hands-on, entry-level position with a variety of responsibilities throughout the shop and warehouse. The successful candidate will assist with shipping and receiving, inventory organization, parts picking, hose assembly, deliveries, shop maintenance, and general day-to-day operations.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, staying busy, and learning different aspects of a parts and hose business. There is room for advancement for the right person.
Responsibilities
- Shipping and receiving incoming and outgoing inventory
- Picking parts and preparing customer orders
- Putting away and organizing stock
- Performing inventory counts and assisting with inventory control
- Creating, organizing,
and labeling parts bins
- Assisting with basic hose assembly and related shop work
- Maintaining organized retail displays and tidying shelves
- Assisting with general shop and warehouse maintenance
- Keeping work areas clean, safe, and organized
- End-of-day cleanup, including sweeping and taking out garbage
- Picking up and delivering parts using a company vehicle
- Loading and unloading inventory as required
- Operating a forklift when required
- Providing general assistance to other team members as needed
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable performing physical warehouse and shop duties
- Able to lift and move parts, boxes, and inventory
- Solid attention to detail and organization
- Willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks
- Positive attitude and good work ethic
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
