Overview

Jroberts Defence is looking for a hands-on, results-driven leader who can effectively balance productivity, quality, safety, and delivery requirements. The ideal candidate will be an experienced shop leader who is comfortable working directly with technicians on the shop floor, providing direction, resolving day-to-day issues, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the required standards.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills and will work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Program Management to ensure R&O; activities are properly planned, resourced, and delivered on time.

Responsibilities

- Supervise daily shop activities, including plan, schedule, monitor workflow, coordinate daily shop workload across technicians to meet production and contract delivery dates.
- Supervise, coach, and support technicians, including maintaining accurate work orders, labour records, inspection reports, repair documentation.
- Ensure all repairs, overhauls,



and inspections meet technical, quality, and customer requirements.
- Maintain shop-floor health and safety, including PPE, hazard control, and safety procedures.
- Manage shop tooling, equipment, calibration, and general shop upkeep.
- Identify and resolve production and quality issues and support continuous improvement to reduce rework and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure availability of parts and materials needed for repairs and overhaul activities.Proven experience in repair shop supervision with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, communicate effectively, and foster a safety-conscious culture.

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
