We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to join our sign shop as a Sign Production & Installation Technician.

This is a hands-on position in a busy sign shop. You will be involved in producing signs and graphics in the shop, preparing and applying vinyl, helping with vehicle graphics, assisting with field installations, and keeping the entire shop clean, organized and running smoothly.

The most important quality we are looking for is attention to detail. Our work needs to be accurate, clean and professional, and we need someone who takes pride in getting things right.

What You'll Do

Sign & Graphic Production

- Weed and mask cut vinyl graphics
- Apply vinyl graphics to sign substrates such as aluminum, ACM, PVC and other materials
- Mount printed graphics to various substrates
- Operate laminating equipment to protect and finish printed graphics
- Trim, finish and prepare graphics for installation
- Prepare surfaces for vinyl and graphic application
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality
- Read and follow job tickets and production instructions carefully

Vehicle Graphics
- Assist with preparing and applying vinyl graphics to cars, trucks, trailers and other vehicles
- Clean and prepare vehicle surfaces before graphic application
- Measure, position and align graphics accurately
- Assist with trimming, finishing and post-heating graphics
- Learn and develop vehicle graphic installation skills

Field Installation
- Assist with commercial sign and graphic installations at customer locations
- Install or assist with installing window, wall and other vinyl graphics
- Help install signs and other sign products indoors and outdoors
- Load,



unload and organize materials and equipment for installations
- Safely use basic hand and power tools

Shop Duties
- Clean and maintain the entire shop, including production areas, floors, work surfaces, equipment and common areas
- Sweep, vacuum, mop and remove garbage as required
- Keep tools, materials and equipment organized
- Help maintain a safe, clean and efficient workplace
- Move and organize materials and finished products
- Help wherever needed to keep jobs moving through the shop

- Able to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors as required for installations
- A valid driver's licence is required

Experience Previous experience in a sign shop, vinyl graphics, vehicle graphics, printing, automotive detailing,



construction or another hands-on trade is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

Experience with vinyl application, vehicle graphics, large-format printing or sign installation is particularly valuable.

The Right Person You don't necessarily need to know everything about the sign industry when you start. We can teach the technical side of the job.

What we can't easily teach is someone who genuinely cares about doing things right.

If you are the type of person who notices when something is crooked, sees a piece of vinyl that wasn't properly weeded, takes the time to get an edge right, and doesn't walk past a mess expecting someone else to clean it up, you may be a great fit for this position.

This is a varied, hands-on job where you will learn something new and work on different projects throughout the week.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
