Overview

Join our dynamic construction team as a Site Superintendent, where you'll lead and coordinate all on-site activities to ensure the successful delivery of projects. This role is vital in overseeing daily operations, managing teams, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. As a Site Superintendent, you will be the key point of contact for project execution, ensuring that timelines are met, budgets are adhered to, and construction plans are executed flawlessly.

Your leadership will drive project success from groundbreaking to completion, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes excellence.

This is a term position for the construction of one building with potential for continued employment. Currently we have a 118 unit, 4 story, wood-framed apartment block starting construction within the next month and a second 150 unit block starting immediately after the first block is complete.

Salary is based on experience and performance.

Responsibilities

- Oversee daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work progresses according to project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with the project manager, architect, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to facilitate smooth communication and workflow.
- Supervise and direct field personnel, providing clear guidance and support to ensure safety protocols and quality standards are maintained.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings regularly to verify accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
- Track progress, update schedules, and manage documentation efficiently.
- Conduct regular site inspections for quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.




- Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, controlling waste, and ensuring resources are used effectively.
- Read and interpret detailed schematics and construction estimating documents to plan work sequences accurately.
- Implement best practices in construction estimating and scheduling to optimize project timelines and resource allocation.
- Maintain a digital markup of drawings and documentation review to streamline communication among teams.

Experience

- Proven supervising experience in constructing 50+ unit multifamily wood frame blocks with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Extensive construction experience with a strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and quality assurance processes.
- Proficiency in Google Gmail, Sheets and Drive or similar tools is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Solid skills in budgeting, cost control, and construction estimating processes.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience supervising diverse teams of tradespeople and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and safety standards to ensure a secure work environment.

- Winnipeg, MB R3T 4C9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
