Site Superintendent, Full-Time

MacKinnon & Olding is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead the delivery of marine and industrial surface preparation and coating projects. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will provide hands-on leadership to Forepersons and Production Crews, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Please note that the successful candidate will need to obtain their Controlled Goods Clearance and Reliability Status to enter the shipyard.

RESPONSIBILITIES: What you will do

- Provide leadership and direction to Forepersons and Production Crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements
- Lead toolbox meetings and promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across the jobsite
- Coordinate with HSEQ personnel to address safety concerns, implement initiatives, and ensure required documentation is completed and maintained
- Work closely with the Project Manager to monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate project status
- Develop and communicate daily work plans and provide clear work instructions to Forepersons and crews
- Ensure customer requirements, technical specifications, quality standards, and inspection requirements are consistently met
- Resolve scheduling, technical, quality, and production issues in collaboration with customers, Forepersons, and crews
- Participate in customer and production meetings, providing updates on work progress and production schedules
- Ensure required materials, equipment, personnel, and resources are available to support project schedules and successful execution




- Work collaboratively with other M&O; Superintendents and internal departments to coordinate service delivery and achieve project objectives

QUALIFICATIONS: Your background

- 5 years of experience in the preparation and coating of marine and industrial surfaces
- 3-5 years of supervisory and work experience in a related field
- Working knowledge of ISO-9001 based quality management systems and HSEQ systems
- NACE certified
- Supervisory training in relation to industrial/construction HSE requirements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems & Outlook
