About 12 Neighbours

12 Neighbours is a human development organization committed to helping people overcome poverty, homelessness, and other barriers to full, healthy, independent lives — and to helping build a healthy, flourishing community. Our approach is trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, identity-rooted, person-centred, and strengths-based (T.R.I.P.S.), and it shows up in the way we support our neighbours and the way we work together as a team.

Our Saint

John sites offer more than a place to stay: they're places where people can reconnect with stability, dignity, and belonging. We lead with our core values — Safety First, Wise Stewardship, Development, Gentleness, and Joy — in everything we do.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Site Supervisor to own daily site flow, documentation, and frontline staff support at a Neighbourly Homes transitional housing site. This role ensures that each shift runs smoothly, that required documentation is completed accurately and on time, and that concerns are identified and escalated to the Manager promptly. It's a hands-on, on-the-floor role for someone who thrives on structure, stays calm under pressure, and genuinely cares about the people they support.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee shift flow, ensuring daily tasks are assigned and completed, and support frontline staff on the floor throughout each shift
- Maintain a calm, orderly, and welcoming site environment
- Ensure daily logs, task lists, and wellness checks are completed accurately and on time; review documentation for completeness and flag gaps or concerns to the Manager
- Ensure meals are distributed as planned and on schedule; track participant concerns, feedback, and nutritional needs, and bring recommendations to the Manager or Director

- Ensure inventory counts are completed accurately and submitted on schedule; identify supply shortages early and communicate them to the Manager
- Identify and escalate safety, behavioural, or documentation concerns to the Manager without delay, using sound judgment to determine when immediate escalation is required versus end-of-shift reporting
- Document all escalated concerns in the appropriate log

What You Bring

- Experience in a supervisory, frontline, or shift-lead role, ideally within housing, community services, or a related setting
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing documentation and administrative tasks under time pressure
- A calm, level-headed approach to de-escalation, with sound judgment on when to escalate a concern
- A genuine, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach to working with individuals who have experienced homelessness, mental health challenges, or substance use
- Ability to multitask across operational, documentation, and participant-support duties within a single shift
- Explicit, timely communication skills and comfort reporting to a Manager

Why Join Us You'll be part of a mission-driven team doing meaningful, hands-on work in the Saint John community — helping keep each site running smoothly and each resident supported with dignity and care. As 12 Neighbours continues to grow across Saint John, this is a chance to build real frontline leadership experience and make a tangible difference every shift.
