Role Description The Site Supervisor role at Calibre Construction is a full-time, on-site position based in Calgary, AB.
The Site
Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily construction activities, coordinating trades and subcontractors, and ensuring work is completed according to project plans, schedules, and quality standards. This role includes monitoring site safety, conducting inspections, and addressing any issues that may affect timelines or compliance.
The Site
Supervisor will communicate regularly with project managers, clients, and crew members,
maintain accurate documentation, and support efficient procurement and use of materials and equipment. The position requires active leadership in office to guide the team, resolve problems, and ensure that all work aligns with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience supervising construction sites, coordinating crews, and managing daily operations.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize tasks to meet project deadlines and milestones.
- Competence with basic computer software and construction management tools for reporting and documentation.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and experience implementing safe work practices.
- Previous supervisory experience in construction and a relevant trade certification or diploma are considered assets.
