Skid Steer Operator

Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our team in Edmonton.

Duties include

- Operate a skid steer safely and efficiently on underground water and sewer projects.
- Load, move, and distribute materials around active construction sites.
- Assist with excavation support, backfilling, grading, site cleanup, and material handling.
- Work safely in close proximity to existing underground utilities and ground personnel.
- Operate equipment in residential, commercial, and other congested work environments.
- Perform finish grading and final site preparation to project specifications.




- Complete daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance requirements.
- Promote, follow, and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform all work safely while maintaining high quality standards and productivity.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity.

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of skid steer operating experience.
- Experience working on underground water and sewer projects is preferred.
- Experience working in congested residential and commercial environments.
- Finish grading experience is required.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently while following direction from the Superintendent or Foreman.
- Experience operating additional heavy equipment is considered an asset.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills.

Required Certifications:
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- Ground Disturbance Level 2
