Special Project Coordinator – Visual Arts & Field Trips

What You’ll Do:

Program Coordination & Delivery

- Oversee schedules, logistics, and day-to-day delivery of visual arts programs
- Lead the planning and execution of revitalized Field Trip programming
- Track participation, enrolment, and program outcomes

Curriculum Development

- Redevelop field trip curriculum to align with the 2026 Ontario Ministry of Education standards
- Collaborate with artist educators to deliver high-quality, age-appropriate learning experiences
- Prepare materials and resources to support program delivery

Educator Recruitment & Support

- Recruit, onboard, and support artist educators
- Coordinate training and provide ongoing guidance
- Serve as a liaison between educators and HCA leadership

Outreach, Marketing & Community Engagement

- Build and maintain relationships with schools, educators,



and community partners
- Promote visual arts programs and field trips through creative outreach
- Support marketing and program promotion, including social media, newsletters, and graphic design initiatives
- Contribute ideas to grow program visibility and participation

Administration & Evaluation

- Maintain project timelines, task tracking, and documentation
- Participate in supervision and progress meetings
- Collect feedback from teachers, students, and families
- Contribute to program evaluation and reporting

What You Bring

- Post-secondary education or experience in arts administration, education, community development, or a related field
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for arts education and community engagement
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience working with educators, artists, or youth is an asset
- Marketing, promotion, or graphic design experience is an asset, including social media content creation and audience engagement

Eligibility Requirement: All candidates must be entitled to or eligible for Employment Insurance (EI) to qualify for this position.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $23.46 per hour
