Black Haven Property Services is looking for a dependable, hardworking team member to assist with larger, physically demanding cleaning projects throughout Calgary.

This is not a routine house-cleaning position. Projects may involve smoke and nicotine residue, heavy buildup, severely neglected properties, post-construction cleaning and detailed property-recovery work.

You will work directly alongside the owner and receive training in Black Haven’s professional cleaning methods, safety procedures, documentation standards and specialized techniques.

- Able to follow instructions and established procedures exactly
- Honest when something is unsafe or outside their knowledge
- Available for irregular, short-notice and occasional weekend projects
- Comfortable working directly alongside the business owner
- Able to photograph and accurately document property conditions
- Interested in learning specialized cleaning and property-restoration techniques
- Reliable, punctual and responsive
- Professional and respectful in client properties
- Comfortable receiving instruction, corrections and quality-control feedback

Responsibilities
- Assist with heavy-condition, smoke-affected, post-construction and property-recovery cleaning
- Clean walls, ceilings, cabinetry, fixtures,



appliances and other affected surfaces
- Use approved products, tools and personal protective equipment correctly
- Follow written scopes of work and task instructions
- Photograph pre-existing damage and project conditions
- Document completed work, concerns and areas requiring further attention
- Identify unsafe conditions and immediately report them
- Protect client belongings and surrounding surfaces
- Clean and decontaminate tools and equipment as directed
- Participate in final inspections and quality-control walkthroughs

Position Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence
- Reliable vehicle
- Ability to travel to project locations throughout Calgary and surrounding areas
- Ability to safely perform repetitive physical work
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, kneel, scrub and lift throughout extended shifts
- Reliable phone with the ability to take clear photographs and access job information
- Willingness to complete required training
- Skilled references
- Criminal record check is required

Previous professional cleaning, restoration, construction-cleaning or property-maintenance experience is an asset, but reliability, honesty, physical capability and willingness to learn are most important.

Schedule

This is a casual, project-based position. Hours will vary depending on booked projects and may include:
- Weekday projects
- Short-notice assignments
- Extended project days
- Occasional weekends

This position may grow as Black Haven expands its specialty and restoration-cleaning services. Pay: From $30.00 per hour
