About Persia Foods

Persia Foods is a growing, locally owned grocery business with eight locations across Metro Vancouver. We are known for fresh produce, international groceries, strong value and serving the communities around our stores.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Store Manager to lead our Marine Drive location. This is a floor-focused leadership position for someone who can build a respectful team, maintain high store standards and take ownership of day-to-day results.

This current position requires English and Farsi - we are hiring roles for people who do not speak Farsi, so please feel free to apply and if you're a good fit, we will make it work.

The role The Store Manager is accountable for the overall operation of the store, including employees, scheduling, customer service, merchandising, cleanliness, cash controls, labour performance and shrink.

You will work closely with the store’s assistant manager, grocery manager, produce manager and front-end lead. Your role is to set clear expectations, coordinate the departments and ensure the store is ready for customers every day.

Responsibilities

- Lead the store’s daily operations and serve as the senior Manager on Duty
- Build weekly schedules and manage labour hours within approved targets
- Provide employees with transparent, respectful and consistent direction
- Train, coach and evaluate employees and department leads
- Address attendance, performance and workplace-conduct concerns promptly
- Establish strong customer-service standards throughout the store
- Resolve customer complaints professionally and fairly
- Ensure grocery, produce, dairy, frozen and front-end departments are stocked and well maintained
- Monitor merchandising, pricing, promotions, rotation and product availability




- Review sales, labour, shrink, out-of-stocks and customer feedback
- Oversee opening, closing, cash-handling, refund and deposit procedures
- Maintain food-safety, cleaning, workplace-safety and loss-prevention standards
- Communicate store needs, results and unresolved issues to the retail operations team
- Help implement company procedures and the Persia Foods Store Operations Playbook

Qualifications
- At least three years of grocery, supermarket or high-volume retail management experience
- At least two years of direct employee-supervision experience
- Demonstrated ability to schedule, coach and hold employees accountable
- Experience managing labour, shrink, inventory and store-level performance measures
- Robust understanding of merchandising and customer service
- Calm, respectful and practical leadership style
- Comfortable working on the sales floor and helping wherever needed
- Comfortable using POS systems, scheduling software, email and basic spreadsheets
- Available to work a combination of opening, closing and weekend shifts
- Fluent or capable in English and Farsi
