Responsibilities
Assisting cooks, sous‑chef, and chef in providing high quality food to residents and ensuring all dishes meet ware‑washing procedures.
Keeping the dining area tables and dining room clean at all times.
Recording dish machine temperatures and testing water to verify cleaning solution concentration.
Assisting with all catering functions.
Liaising with the immediate supervisor to inform, consult, and problem‑solve any serious service issues.
Checking and recording dish machine temperatures on established forms.
Maintaining the food services area clean according to Public Health standards.
Keeping the surrounding area clean and maintained per procedures.
Exchanging all required information between staff members during shift change.

Qualifications




Experience working in a fast‑paced setting with tight deadlines.
Ability to lift up to a minimum of 25 pounds.
Food Safe Handler’s certificate from a recognized institution.
First Aid CPR Level C Certificate (required).
Police Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance (mandated).
